Loving God, Loving People,
Serving Both

The Shepherd’s Loft

In 2007 a lady in our congregation felt led to gather gently used clothes to help out people in the church who were experiencing hard times.  God has grown her simple obedience into a global clothing ministry.  Today The Shepherd’s Loft provides clothes to over 500 households in central Wisconsin each year, donates over 10,000 lbs of clothes annually to Hope Gospel Mission in Eau Claire to support their homeless shelters, and ships over 7,500 lbs of clothes each year to support the people of Zambia.

The Shepherd’s Loft is open Tuesday and Friday morning from 9 am to noon.  Appointments can be made outside those hours.  There is no qualification process to receive clothes.  A person may visit every 30 days and receive two grocery bags of clothes on the honor system.  There is never any change for the clothes.

Donations of gently used clothes, shoes, and small household goods (such as pots, pans, and silverware) are welcomed when The Shepherd’s Loft is open to the public and by appointment.

Uplifting Zambia: Sea Container Project

God has knit the hearts of Baker Street Wesleyan with Dr. Alfred Kalembo and the people of the Wesleyan Church in Zambia.  Through a God ordained partnership with other Christians in the Midwest that pay for the sea container and ship it to Africa, the people of BSW collect compassion supplies and fill a 40’ X 8’ X 8’ sea container that is sent to Zambia each summer.  Each sea container contains textbooks for the schools, medical supplies for the hospital at Zimba and the rural health clinics, and supplies for the local churches and pastors.  In 2016, the people of BSW provided nearly 600 chairs for the church at Mount Zion in Zambia.

It is a goal of this project to invite and welcome the communities of central Wisconsin to partner with us and uplift the people of Zambia with compassion goods.

Global Partners

BSW supports Global Partners, the mission’s arm of the Wesleyan Church, with prayers and finances.  Currently we partner with missionaries in Eastern Europe, Haiti, and Africa. For more information about Global Partners, visit globalpartnersonline.org.
